Custom gauges

I am thinking about custom gauges for my shadow box. I'm gonna run a speedo , oil pressure , fuel level, water temp and volts and do away with the factory idiot lights. My question pertains to the turn signal and high beam indicators, how do I know what wires go to these ? What have other members done for this?

When I did my dash I decided to keep all my factory warning lights etc. in place so I keep the circuit board in place and made adapters for my turn signals that plug in where the turn signal bulbs were. I modified my dash with removable aluminum inserts instead of the standard shadowbox set up.
Here is a couple pictures of my mock ups with my old gauges, I recently installed Autometer Ultralites in their place.

Or, you could just test the factory gauge connector with a test light.......

I just did so on the latest LS swap Camaro I'm working on. He's got a New Vintage gauge cluster with an indicator very similar to these: http://www.newvintageusa.com/panels.html
