I,ve made several items from stainless myself(316) such as by bedrail /swordblades. I refer to stainless as poorman's chrome, although it ain't cheap if you have to buy it, & it'll never peel. Threading it is the hard part for me ,I don't have true machine shop tools.
makes a nice detail.

well i work in a machine shop. so thats a plus for me threading is a snap.. and you can always send SS out to the platers if u really wanted chrome. I myself not a huge fan of chrome. i rather scuff up the SS and give it a brushed aluminum look

Maybe I read the post too fast, never saw a price...Either way, I'd take two of them for my Monte 🙂

Nice job! I'm also a machinist, I made a few for friends, some of my own designs and myself a set or to out of aluminium but I also have some 954 alloy bronze i've been hordin. Mine have matching hood and headlight knobs. I also have made several other parts for my cars solid motor mounts for a Olds 455, valve cover nuts, crossmember to fit a 400 turbo longshaft in my car, a distribution block for idiot lights and oil pressure guage but back to the drawing board on that. I enjoy making custom parts for cars it's a passion that i would'nt mind doing full time. Looks like you have Mititoyo mics, calipers and 1/2 in end mills there. I like those but mainly most of my tools are Starrett, Fowler is also a good brand for calipers found my 12in ones in a pawn shop for $60.00 like new.

Are you selling these yet??
