Kind of upsetting that it took until page 7 to see any damn Grand Prix's! Just kidding. But, seriously, in the 4 years I've owned my 87, I've seen dozens of Cutty's and Regals, and Monte's on the road. I have seen no more than 6 Grand Prix's! And I'm pretty sure it was the same one a couple times. They were all grey on grey like mine, too. Just saying. Makes me kinda proud to own a more 'unique' g-body, I guess. That is all.

My '86 regal Limited. 13" wheels, phantom top, hydraulics, and a bunch of chrome/powdercoated parts

i like the choo choo malibu wagon. thats sick lol

Anyone answer me this question. Why are the g bodies always picked to be custom lowriders? I live over here in san antonio and I see a lot of regals, cuttys, and monte carlos getting used for lowriders. Just curious if its the weight or how they're built. Here's my 80' malibu and 71' roadrunner:

I think it has to do with the appeal. They look good. Solid frames, not too heavy. My guess plus you can still find alot of parts.

Ya, I think its the body on frame construction. Not sure how long it would take for a uni body to become a duo body,..... with a little hopping. 😛

I guess I'll post mine in here too as it is not quite stock looking, and now somewhat complete. (Still working on it...)

It is mildly lowered with lowering springs, the front fender lips were cut, rolled, pulled and stretched, boxed and filled to give it about 1.5 in more clearance at the lip with a stock profile. I also cleaned it up a bit by eliminating the landau top, most emblems and the ding strips. It also has a 1977 Chevy 350 in it, and oodles more work than I can even mention. I have added all of the options it lacked except for a sunroof or T tops, or the little indicator things on the fender tips. Paint is GM "Navy Blue Metallic" in Diamont base/clear. The wheels may not make the final cut, and the tires are the wrong size, but they were used and cheap, and they hold air, so for now they stay.

I'm not a fan of lowriders and "DONKS." With that said, I appreciate the work that goes into these vehicles. The friggin bodywork and paint is immaculate and the interiors are awesome. If I had the money, I would have one of these guys/gals paint whatever gbody I end up with.
