OK I have a question,......how the heck do these guys afford the high cost to modify these cars??? Are they drug dealers or something cause i've been working my whole life and I couldn't begin to afford what appears to be nice paint jobs and big expensive rims and tires and all the chrome and engine work!!What gets me is some of the photos look like they're taken from the ghettos!I must be doing something wrong man! :?:

By maintaining gainful employment and good financial budgeting. Honestly, the rims and stuff really don't cost that much. It's as simple as do I want 26" wheels or a Moser Ford 9" for my car? (my personal dilemma) I'm not denying that some drug dealers don't own some of these cars, but the majority are owned by hardworking, legally employed individuals. That goes for all car cultures. I've known about drug dealers who were into restoring antique vehicles, muscle cars, drag cars, tuners, motorcycles, drag bikes, and even off-road vehicles. That stereotype really needs to die.

I'm not stereotyping anyone as I know that you are an upstanding guy Qdub, but I just don't believe that these guys are making that much money working say at Walmart or at Pep boys or whatever. These restorations DO cost a lot of $$ and unless you are an engineer or something I don't think these owners would be able to afford it. That's all i'm saying, no disrespect as I like what I see but I personally wouldn't be able to afford it and I am a CAD technician.

CAD Techs make GOOD money  I worked for a civil engineering firm here in AZ before the market went to sh*t and the pay was Niiiiice. I could have built my elco how I really wanted it (pro-touring style) if I wasn't out chasing women with my money hahahahaha but honestly you would be surprised at some of the gigs these guys have. I know a few guys in Cali and Vegas that own there own businesses and some even have masters & bachelor degree's making close to or over 6 figures.

I here ya Melman,, I guess it is the connections and who you know they all probably work in bodyshops, machine shops, welders, garages etc... and if you can't get some part,,,they know somebody that can get it for you! Man I wish all my friends were gear heads!

Selling a lil bam bam out the back door of them bodyshops doesn't hurt the bank either...... I kinda like the stereotype, brings some flavour to these cars. I, like most, watched training day and before the end credits started hopped on craigslist. Whenever i tell people what i have and they don't recognize the name, i just tell em trailer park boys and breaking bad.
