Can't say I ever would. But domestic cars you tend to order the wheels in imperial or S.A.E standard sizes. I wouldn't throw the metric system into the mix here.

Well that's the way that big wheels come. If you didn't know, then now you do.

dr..all those wheels are made offshore and in china so that's why they have the metric sizing but they are called 22"......they have filler under the cheap chrome cause the casting is so bad.....

All rims have an offset and backspacing. Doesn't matter if their big or small.

The offset is the distance from the mounting pad to the centerline of the wheel.

Backspacing is the distance from the mounting pad to the inner edge of the wheel.

Divide the rim width in half and then you either add or subtract the offset which gives you the backspacing. A positive number means its moving the wheel center towards outside of the wheel face (street side). A negative means its moving the wheel center towards the car.

So take a 20x10" rim. Half the rim width would be 5". If the offset is +13mm, that works out to roughly 1/2" offset. Add the 1/2" offset to half rim width number and you get a back spacing of 5.5".

HEY I'm an old fart and a young guy has a raised monte with 22's around here....as a matter of fact I thing it looks good...just wouldn't do it to mine!!!! :lol:

whoops I said offset rather than backspace up there didn't I? That was a rookie mistake and with all the rims I sold as a kid ::hangs head in shame:: 3.5" backspace on factory 14" x 6"
