I have a pair of kicker cvx 12's and a 2k watt soundstream tarantula amp that kicks in my wj jeep.. now that my ls swap is somewhat completed I need tunes. Did you sound insulate the trunk? And I also want to relocate the battery to the trunk... what deck are you running? I also need to get those kick panels!

I am just curious though, did you use vinyl covered bookshelves to make the sub box? if you did the box may not last long- that is particle board or low density fiberboard which is not too strong. I have had boxes I made similarly "Breathe" - literally see the box moving- when the stereo was up. MDF (the stuff you used for the amp shelf) is a much stronger and a better solution for sub boxes- of course much heavier too! I use 3/4 and have never had issues with that stuff. Just my $.02

competed nationally for JL, Phonenix Glold and Orion for 5 years and ran the circuit all over the midwest, always used particle board, never an issue, and broke 167 db spl contest in the early 90's with it.
