Congratulations on tearing it up at a track. I bet you were happy with whatever payments remain.

I ran away from a tornado once on I-40. When you see the storm chasers parked on the side of the highway, it's time to find the upper stop on the speedo - in my case it as pointed at 'D'. It was an '82 C20 with 320K miles, but a prepped 400 SBC / TH400. I won, and the truck lived on until around 400K when the cab mounts parted from the frame.
 
chances are it was not setup correctly. Just because it had a turbo does not mean it was installed
correctly or was even dialed in.

Very well could be, or the guy can't drive it well.
 
I love my Dodge Cummins. 4x4, fully loaded interior, 4.10 gears with a locker, 554hp, 1011 lbs-ft of torque and 17mpg all day. Can't beat it as a daily driver. Plus there is NOTHING like the sound of 60 psi of boost.... When I totalled my 83 SS I was seriously contemplating selling off all my parts and taking the insurance money to build my truck some more. My brother is building the red one in the background. The sky is the limit with these things....

83Montess, your brother's truck looks just like mine.
And I agree, my truck makes ~400 hp but over 900ft/lbs. It makes for an awesome daily driver, I love it.
Mine is a Laramie, so its pretty well optioned, weighs about 8000lbs curb weight, and still hauls some serious *ss once you get up into 3rd and 4th. 4.10's and the nv5600 makes 1st and second great for pulling a trailer, not much for actually accelerating.

I am gm guy at heart but the first and second gen cummins rams are one of my favourite truck trying to find a clean non modded truck up here Is Damn near impossible
 
I like my Ranger for what it is, it has the 4.0l V6, 4x4, and limited slip rear.
 
I don't have a truck but the T-Bird some of you might I know I have hauls some serious *ss for 4500lbs and probably way less than that quoted 360hp back in '70. Also an '02 ford windstar I had the displeasure of driving for a while kept up with an 83 cutlass with a mild 355. He put about 2 lengths on me halfway down the street and more or less kept it there. Private, no traffic roads mind you.

Don't take this the wrong way, Rangers are nice trucks, but I had a friend who was almost killed by one. A 2000 V6 extended cab owned by a friend of his, they were both inside traveling 70-ish mph on the freeway when smoke suddenly started billowing from under the hood, engine temp gauge was still fine. He pulled over popped the hood, burned his hand in the process, and fire shot up 10 feet out of the hood. 25 minutes or so later the entire truck was burned up, interior gone, only metal left. Gas tank did ignite but luckily was nearly empty so no giant explosion. Some of the sheet metal melted and was all distorted and some of the engine itself was melted. I don't think they ever did figure out why it caught fire, at least I never heard if they did. I saw the truck in person a day or so after and it was painful to look at. Anyways too good of a story not to tell. There is a video of the whole event somewhere, I'll try to find it.
 
Before my daughter and cutlass arrived I was a collector of Datsun z cars. Had a 81 t-top turbo rude drunken jackass at the car cruise kept screaming AMERICA #1at me. Had a 70s mach1 mustang. Let's just say I left it at the light. Lotta disrespect towards my little Datsun 180hp but 330lb tourqe in a 2200lb tin can. Loved beating 40k trailer queens in my hand built $600.00 car! Only real loss was to the new 6.0 GTO. Once again guy being a prick reving the sh*t outta the car next to me. Light changes I get him out of the hole got him in second then my third wasnt there fought a few times and double clutched into 3rd too late....sucks could of got him. Then kiddo arrived so needed the back seat and a greasy chunk of 307 heaven lol
