i am try to figure out shall i rebuild the v6,make it efi,and get a more effcient turbo
or throw in my 4.8 vortech truck motor and turbo charge that im not sure.do any know how rear this turbo montes are

the buick powered turbo monte carlo's are a 2 year car .1980 and 1981 and i am not sure on the production numbers from year to year.and both years are different as well because the 80 is the last 3rd gen and the 81 is the first 4th gen.

i was thinking about dropping a 4.8 gen3 vortec that i have and turbo chargingit with the sts rear mount turbos.throw a lsx intake

I have the 1981 Monte Carlo Turbo they built 3027 of these in 81. Not sure of the production of the 80 Turbo. There were less then 700 fully optioned with T-Tops. Mine has all options and also is a Canadian car where there were only 200-300 of these cars shipped to.

as of right now yes it does but thats getting pulled in place of a 4.8 vortec
