Will have to wait till it cools off.
Have to pull the dash back panel, disconnect the switches and the white bracket is screwed in from the backside....
Cant access it without pulling it ALL out....

So, after losing some blood and sweating a bit, the white cable retainer is gone.
It had a metal retaining clip to hold the speedo cable to the white bracket, which also had a ground wire on it.
No longer needed I assume.
Plugged it in, hooked up the battery and have nothing except fasten belts lamp.
No oil Press, temp, tach.
Shouldnt have to be this hard........

Did you swap out the oil pressure and coolant idiot switches for sensors?

Yes, new sensors.
Now have working tach, turn signal indicators and fuel gauge.
Oil pressure gauge moves when you turn on headlights.
Does not match mechanical gauge on engine.
Volt gauge INOP.
Temp gauge INOP.
No lights work in cluster when you turn H/Lamps on.
Car starts and runs.
FML.......

Oil pressure sending unit is a Standard PS154 (78-88 Oldsmobile w/gauge)
Temp sending unit is a Standard TS71 - I don't remember what the application was for that one.

I looked it up (using '78 & '79 Supreme w/ 350) & TS71 is '79. They list TS6 for '78. Since I forgot to bring it up, GM did a change with most temp gauges so '79 up used a different sender.

I tried to look up the thread from the OP when he was parting out the car this cluster came from but its been wiped.
It was either 78 or 79, but not newer.
I did some net surfing and found a video on cluster repairs, and looking at my cluster I found one of the nuts that hold the gauges to the circuit board missing .
Thinking that may have a bit to do with it.....
That'll be fun to find, if it was even there before.
