Hello, I'm looking for opinions on drive by wire throttle bodies vs cable. Talking strictly performance, I have read that the DBW can lack in response. I need to decide what route to go, I'm leaning towards cable.
Thanks

DBW can be faster, just depends on the ramp rate that's programmed.

GM usually programs the response to be slow. AKA if you ask for 75% throttle it might only give you 50% throttle. It's usually for trans/driveline longevity.

DBC is more simple though. I have DBW on my swap and although it makes cruise control wiring easy and clean, if you modify the engine and go to boost or speed density there is a lot of safety related cutout tables that will kill the throttle if it thinks there is an issue.

Is throttle responsiveness your concern or max HP? NA or power adders installed?

It's a NA L92 for now, I would like to have both if possible. I was just looking for input to help decide which route to go. DBW or DBC, Whats your opinion?
The factory 90mm DBW throttle body is a nice piece. If you go with cable what do you plan to use? $$$$
