The internet says this.Last generation Riviera was so long, 22 feet, that ONLY the G Body format could be used, probably the last of the G Body.
This guy has a few posts on this, seems the general answer is what I have above. Then again some people..
This is NOT a G Body! We beat that dead horse a bunches of time.Last generation Riviera was so long, 22 feet, that ONLY the G Body format could be used, probably the last of the G Body. For the final year GM took all the imperfections from previous years and tweaked them out for the 1999 model, 98 parts do not fit a 99, I have both. With less than 2000 built and after 20 years of national disasters and wrecks and engine failures not replaced less than 100 of these cars can be found! 10 years spent searching for 99s that are road worthy less than 50 found so far. Buy a car or buy a future investment? Have 4 to sell

If I remember to vote this month..I've entered for about 2 two years and have garnered a total of two votes! Both of which I voted for myself! Good Luck to the other guy that will win!
And he even brings up having 4 for sale. Hell if the boss man lets that fly (which I know he won't) lets run the rarest of all G's, the all electric '86 Regal. It's even faster than the GNX!
Had 4 for sale. Has 4 for sale. Will have 4 for sale. Why he keeps posting once in a while. But few know .... ☹️And he even brings up having 4 for sale.
Maybe the guy likes playing anagrams with the numbers 🤷♂️title bar says "1978-1988 A/G" so .....
