Decoding Axle ratio

Found this...maybe its not a gbody axle. From a 78 Caprice🙄

A Chevy Caprice/Impala is a B-body car. It's a sister car to the Delta 88. Oldsmobile ID'ed their B-body axles with the aluminum tag on the cover but that doesn't mean that all of the divisions did. I'm guessing that they didn't and used the traditional codes stamped into the axle tube, like the one you've encountered.
Unfortunately, like I said before, it appears to be a 7.5in 2.41 open rear end out of a B-body. Sorry for the bad news.
