Different style grills

my 86 has the stock chrome, and i love it, but unfortunately, they are broken at the upper mounts, and will need replaced unless i can find some ultra high quality glue... 🙁

There might be something to the sub-models carrying certain styles, a friend and I both had 83's which both had the grilles that are considered the 84' style, and they were both Calais.
But there again, who knows, they could have been changed out in the past? But I really do think they were factory.

Personally I have always favored the 81 or 86 style.

Almost every tab on both my grilles have been repaired with it.

You are incorrect...

'81 and '86 are the same.
'82, '83, '84, and '85 are all different. So 5 different styles.

And I did Google the exact wording you told me to, and this is what showed up on page one, bottom right corner...

'81 and '86 are the same. Period.
Show me a dealer brochure that says otherwise if you think you're right.
