any one have a write up on how to change out the dimmer switch on a 85 cutlass? my dash lights are out and i think that the dimmer switch is the problem. if anybody has and insight or experience w/ a similiar problem please let me know.

May sound like a dumb question, but did you check your fuses? My '81 manual shows a fuse inline to the instrument panel. '85 might be different, but probably not much. Do your dome/floor/etc. lights work? If not then I'd probably blame the switch, if they do I'd look to that fuse or a ground.

all i have is the dome light, no floor or map lights or anything else in the interior. and yes the dome light works. ill check the fuses. thanks
well if ur going to replace it, you need to pop off the wood grain on the left side next to the instrument panel, and there should be 2 7mm screws. one on top and one on the bottom
well GP403 was right about the fuse... i got my lights back lol.
