Am getting ready to put a Ford 9" rear end in my El Camino G-body.
Its a bolt in with disk brakes. My question is will I have to change my master cylinder and add a propotional valve to make this change from the stock disk front, pad back.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mike

yes. one of the easy ways is a camaro master cylinder and proportioning valve. if the car is being built to handle i'd get an adjustable valve.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know why the Ford 9" rear was made to switch out differentials easier than GM? Did they just get it right and no one copied?
