can anyone tell me what wires to use, we seem to get no spark, after we figure that out it will fire, please help fast as we are working on car as we speak.

Thanks, Bryan

there's the connector from the modulator in the distributor and the only other wire you need is the red (hot) wire to plug into the cap where it is marked +Bat.

are you sure you put the rotor on before the cap?....it may seem like a stupid question but it's been forgotten before... 😳

I just noticed it's an 87....is it a computer controlled distributor?

it is pink isn't it...I always think of it as red since it's hot...but that is the one

the car is no longer computer controlled. its a built 350 chevy with HEI distributor,is there anything else i should need?

nope...the wire connector from the modulator only fits one way and the tack wire that connects to the distributor cap beside the pink wire isn't needed to fire up the engine

Check the pink wire and make syre you have voltage with the key on and when you crank it over. If you do then either you have the wrong module in the distributor, wires are fubared to the module, coil not hooked up correctly. Also take the cap off and make sure the rotor is turning when you crank it over.

the coil is hooked up right, rotor turns just no spark any other idea's? changed ground wire.
