Howdy friends, I've owned plenty of bikes and cars, this is my first G body. For those of you who
own G body cars how many of you also own motorcycles too ?

Here's a shot of my pet. Been sitting since I started the car paint process. It will be time to get her
back on the highway here soon. Great bike. 2000 Yamaha Vstar 650 Classic. Fully customized .
The pics show a more dull front fender. And a few weeks before I started to paint the car I reshot the fender and recoated the clear and now it looks great.

The blue bike in the first photo is my sons 2011 Yamaha Star Stryker 1300

I used to have a Kawasaki 750 and as much fun as it was to ride it there was always a conflict with me driving my Monte since both are waiting for nice weather for me to use so I ended up selling it about 12 years ago.
There are times I want another one but besides the roads around here which absolutely suck for riding a motorcycle, I have observed that over the past decade or so that driver's are getting progressively worse at an alarming rate.
To me driving a car it used to be about watching the road and your surroundings along with enjoying the ride and letting other driver's know your intentions now it seems this time is used to multitask as much as possible before getting to a destination so for me at least around here I just don't feel safe riding anymore.

I get you on that. I've probably only ridden about 2 K miles on a bike since 1989. When I sold
my old 82 Honda 500 Ascot. After that I did not have another bike until 2010 . So 21 years.
Then I picked up a nice Suzuki SV 650 that was killer fast. My wife told me to sell it or I would kill myself
on it. I listened and for sale went on it. I kept it for about 6 months. Then in 2014 I purchased
the Vstar 650. And That I ride just to cruise around or ride to work maybe 2 or 3 times a year.

The last few years I have been buying 80s era Metric bikes. I have 3 GPZ 305's but making one show quality out of them. 82 Maxim (café project), 84 VF700 Interceptor, and my wife bought me a brand new ZX14 2 years ago. When I was 15 in about 1987, my dad bought me a mint 1983 GPZ 305. That's why I decided to build one to look showroom new. When I sit on it, it takes me right back to 1987. I'm planning on finishing it this summer after my Salon gets finished.

ZX14 Hafrod. Nice freakin bike man. I call it betterthanabusa Because it is. baddazz !

With power level on full and traction control off, it will turn your knuckles white and fill your shorts if you feel froggy. Lol. I ride like an old man so I really don't need that much power. It is comfortable for my bad back cause its so big. I went back to the dealer a couple weeks ago to inquire about Kawasaki's new H2. Supposed to be super charged and the baddest of the bad. They said they could get me one but its around mid $20's. That's too rich for my blood. Lol

My ride. 2013 Ninja 650R. Nice, light little bike that handles great and feels fast to me, which is all I care about. This is the day I brought it home, before I did the tail tuck to get rid of that awful rear fender.

If I had a bike I wouldn't have a licence to drive my GP. No radio and no coffee cup holder on a bike so the only thing left to keep me happy is speed and they have laws about that

I like the cruiser bikes for the looks but the performance of mine (just 40 h.p) is not enough for spirited riding modes.
How ever I'm in the process of getting my 650 up for sale and I've been eyeballing the Kawasaki Vyrsus 650 LT
Nice parallel twin, EFI, Hard bags, Adjustable windshield, And a More sport /standard riding position.
These are about 65 h.p. and still get 55 mpg.
