Ok, new to site w a 78 monte.... Can someone put a sticky as to HOW to post pics from their iPhone? My desktop is at work and I don't have time to mess around on sites there... So, would love to post, no clue as to how from my iPhone... Thanks!!

As I once had said a very long time ago it ought to fall on the vendors to bridge the gap and get this app (w/e new app they need to build for phone / notebook user) or else they will just make less money as people drive past this site in favor of other forums they could access from their phones/ notebooks instead. It would be in their best interest to not only bridge the gap but connect younger more anti-social users directly to parts orders so they can just make a purchase and check out if they really don't want to stick around and chat w/ us on here after that... which is a lot of the younger guys look how many people make an account and just ask us 'where do I buy this' and 'where do I buy that' get the answers and just never / or rarely come back after that. What about women. I don't see a lot of them on here. I think they just read what we talk about and buy the parts then leave b/c most of them don't even like typing about cars like some of us do lol. As for the no ad's thing? Come on guys how can a site exist if it doesn't make money. But like I said, in 2015 if the app bridges the gap and vendors can get parts orders out that would be pretty cool. Obviously it would be cool if there was some kind of way for people to post photos from their phone directly again. It's too bad the bbodyforum seems to not be going anywhere but an app could be the difference between it's success / failure. All it really needs is some kind of supporting vendor to push some of the more common parts that are / always were prone to failure. Without supporting parts vendors and phone access it was probably never going to succeed. A lot of your older guys / people who live in a rural areas don't even have pc's now that smart phones and tablets can do most basic functions of a pc they have gotten rid of their internet or pc's in favor of these devices - a choice I would personally never make; I'm just saying these are the times - I hate a 'device' or a 'smart phone' but in 2015 you've got to face the facts and understand that 3-5 years from now the tower pc could be considered as obsolete as the VCR - and another thing thats starting to fade out lately is CD's too. Not having a phone / ipad app in 2015 is like your favorite artists putting out a CD in 2015 and not having a single track available online. It makes the site like a club for us to just talk cars which is fantastic if thats what you want; but if what you wanted was to make money you're missing out on major money - so it really just comes down to the choice of if you wanted the site to be about making money or if you wanted it to stay traditional hot-rod clubhouse style. That's not to say that by carefully balancing the amount of vendors and ad's / users you can't have both at the same time of course... if you do it right you can have both at the same time!

I understand the need for ads.but theres gotta be a way to make them more mobile device friendly.im one of those people who traded the pc for the phone.i cant justify spending the money i dont really have on a new laptop when my phine does everything i need a pc for.

Yes, wrong thread. Upload attachment works the same on your iphone as it does on your desktop. No problems. You don't need photobucket.

The decision has nothing to with:

- The usefulness of Tapatalk. Yeah, its handy, I get it. I just won't tolerate Tapatalk inserting itself between the readers and the site with its full-screen ad for its own app and me not having any say over it. I used to be able to switch that off, but in the last version that option was missing, and even editing the files didn't work... I'd love to keep using it for you guys that like it, but that sort of intrusion, especially when nearly 50% of the traffic to the site is mobile, is unforgivable. I have to run this test for an extended period of time to see if there's a real impact or not. If not, I'll happily put Tapatalk back in. Simple as that.

- Ads. Not sure where this is coming from. There's no more ads on this site then there has been in the past. Probably less actually.

- Mobile. I really don't know what you all are seeing on your devices. On mine, the site looks and works the same as it does on the desktop, just smaller. Like I said above, the forum software, generally speaking, was never designed for it. I've seen some new themes that address that, and when 3.1 gets stable and those themes support it, I'll move on it.

The site runs the Same as it does On a pc on my phone.Except the site itself loads before the ads then my screen starts jumping up down as the ads load.after the ads load the site goes blank then reloads.does everytime i open the site,a forum ir topic.

I brought the ads into this cuz it seems like youre trying to figure whats keeping people from joining or coming back.the ads eat up data on a mobile device wich could be keeping people from joining or coming back.

My apologies about tapatalk but i never could get it to work anyway if that makes you feel better about it. As for ads i understand the site needs a way to make money my only problem is they make my computer and phone both jump around on the site and make it difficult to use

Also about the giant tapatalk ad yes when that would pop up my phones browser would actully crash weather i was on 4g or WiFi making the site for me unusable

The ad I'm concerned with, and what I have a problem with, is the big full screen ad that Tapatalk was injecting. If you'd load the page in Safari on your iPad or iPhone (for example), you wouldn't see GBF at all, you'd get a big orange screen full of "GET TAPATALK!" and no indication of the actual site you were on... That's what pissed me off. If that was being shown as many times as I saw it in a short period of time, I'd get fed up and go away real quick. How many people see that, and just go "NOPE!" and close the page? I have to find out.

As for the site "jumping around" with the other ads. That's how they're loaded. The site loads first, then the ads. The alternative is for the entire page, including the ads, and all content, to load first, and only then display it. It would take far longer for a page to show. Six of one half a dozen of the other.

this is what it looks like. It still shows up if I go to FBodyForum.net... I guess its coming off all my sites :/ If you went to a website expecting to see an auto-related discussion forum, or because you were searching for an answer to a question, and saw this, what would you do?
