door ding trim

My 1987 442 has the stupid trim on it to protect it from door dings. Was this from the factory? Also how do I remove it? Is it just an adhesive that I can just gently remove?

yep, just glued on.... i peeled mine off and then used a little PB blaster to clean up the goop.. used a little plastic putty spreader to peel the strips off..

sucky for me the car was repainted and they just taped off around the ding trim. So if I take them off there will be a line down the car.

thats what I got.................some taken off some left on. for the price of the sh*t you think autobody shops could cover the cost. I hate them anyways, mine are GONE
