On what car? For most G-body cars its real simple, just need to be careful not to break the plastic pins the hold the panels on. Depending on the door, start by removing the strap. You need to remove the silver covers on each side to get to the screws. Then the two screws in the handel slide it back and its off then unscrew the lock button. The top half will lift right off. Be careful if you have power windows to NOT pull on the wires. Just unscrew the light blue disk, and remove the wiring from the switch. Next CAREFULY pry the bottom half off. Same deal as above if you have power locks. This worked on my 85 Caballero. Your model may be a little different.
