Duraglass the gap! Thats what I did. Get some flat headed bolts (or weld the holes) for the trim up. Then lay a good layer of duraglass through it. Then a thin layer of normal bondo. Worked for me!

Hey guys got an update for ya. Ok so as some of you may know I sent my car off to the body shop awhile ago. Here is the work they did. Paint header panel, paint 2 fenders, straighten the frame, and assembly. Well this entire time I'm not sure how much this is going to cost me. So today I got my estimate for all the work. I'll lay it out the best I can for you guys. My question is do you guys this the price is fair or not?

Body hours: 7.5. Rate: $44.00
Refinish hours : 2.0. Rate $44.00
Frame hours: 5.0. Rate $50.00
Total labor hours: 13.5
Total labor cost $659.72
Total additional cost: $62.98
Net total: $722.70

I was honestly thinking it was going to be close to $1100 so I was surprised when I saw the total just gotta start saving up at 19 years old it's not easy to come up with that kinda money. But here is about 3 weeks I'll have my baby back.

i work in collision repair, I think it seems reasonable for a front end job. Hope they match the color up nice for ya.

Quick question... Is it okay to open up the holes in the head gasket (top left) a little more so the coolant to flow better?

Are you going to acid dip the block to clear up all those passages? Is the hole closed off from gunk, or is the gasket hole smaller than the hole? I can't tell from the picture. Also, are you planning on reusing the old gasket?

What did you hit in the first place that you bent the front and twisted the front end?

The block is getting "the works" whenever I get the funds about the only thing I'm keeping from the engine is the crank and block I plan on building the ultimate 327 for this car luckily there is no rush to get the engine built because she currently has a perfectly good running v6.

Well as is plays out I was driving down the road there was a mini van in front of my and an suv in the turning lane. Well dumbass in the mini van in front of me decided he wanted to be in the turning lane. So he side swipe the suv. Well they both slam on there brakes and I hit the brakes and slid all the way too the mini van.
And long story short I was cited and found not guilty mini van was found guilty and insurance wouldn't even give me the time of day.
