Downpipes for Thorton manifolds?

You guys are right, I misread the listing on the Thornton headers. Good thing I wasn't buying at 2am!

Sbc G body is a common swap but from my research most go with floor shift. I want to maintain column shift and I changed from a 3 speed that my car was setup for to a 2004r. I also welded ball flange collectors on my headeds not realizing it would cause clearance issues with the linkage bar, it's just in the perfectly wrong spot. They fit ok, it's just they required a lot of tweaking to various compenents.

I had to heat and beat the headers so they weren't pushed up against the lower control arm mount and pushed up against the frame. They're stainless steel OBX headers, I believe replicas of Dynapros.

Do the Corvette style ram horn manifolds fit in a gbody without too much of a hassle?

No the way they run the exit comes down right on the K frame

nope, they are center-dump and will never clear the frame-section below the engine. i borrowed some from a friend to try, and you would have to cut and reweld a lot on that frame-section.

Bummer, they're plenty on the market here from 70's Opel Diplomat which came with Corvette 327 / TH400 combo.

Decided to cut the ball flange connection off and weld in a 6" long sleeve. Then I took a torch and mallet to the sleeve to make it a oval. Reinstalled the headers and the linkage works great after tweaking the attachment bracket some. It will even go to every gear even though the linkage and selector window is only for a 3 speed... At least P, R,N and D line up perfect! 2 is 3rd gear, 1.5 is 2nd and .8 is 1 🤣
