I installed the UMI drive shaft loop a few days ago. Just looks nice, not going down the strip and I haven't been to any show that anyone has looked at my undercarriage! It came with what I call home depot/lowes bolts! I think they were too short to fully engage and have enough threads protruding out the back. I used the factory ones which are longer and have a wide contact surface on the head of the bolt vs using the flat washer.

I prefer to use the factory bolts verses the by the lb ones at hardware stores. Unless you prefer chrome or specialty head fasteners. To each his own!

While I was under there, inspected the "U" joints and greased them.

Looks nice. Totally agree with you on the hardware. Nice attention to detail.

Dang, I'd sent you a brand new UMI loop for hardly anything! I have one, but the loop is too small for the 80E/3" driveshaft combo. I need to address that, butttt I'll get around to it.

Looks clean to me. If the bolts are engaging properly and everything else is in order, I say run it. I'm envious. I can't wait till the under-carriage of my car looks that clean (which may be a couple of years). Good luck with the project.
