Whats keeping you from moving the driveshaft loop back? I ran a Metco one in my Chevelle with a 4" aluminum driveshaft. Just moved it to where it fit and went with it.

it's to bad John @ jtracecraft isn't making parts anymore,I'm running his loop and it tucks up nicely into the top of the tunnel.

Yep I have 5 Doors on my Malibu with the T56 that thing is awesome !!!

I built the one in my wagon from a Summit universal kit. Throwing money at parts isn't going to solve your swap puzzle.

If the OP plans on taking it to the track, all the sanctioning bodies require the loop to be within 6” of the front U-joint. You can’t just put it wherever you want. If they find it to be outside of this measurement, they can fail you during the tech inspection.
Speaking from experience here.

Ok So if its hitting the yoke now he has at least 6" to move it rearwards. And you had a better inspector than me. I raced divisional races and bracket raced for almost 30 years and NO tech inspector measured my loop. Just looked to see it was there and in the general vicinity of where it was supposed to be.
