Drove a stick for the first time today!

Have you tried driving a large truck with an auto? In my opinion I think most of them suck! Im not talking about a ford f350 or a 3500 silverado, im talking about semi trucks and larger dump trucks. Some are okay, but most can be annoying to drive. A lot of times you need to use manual mode since the computer doesn't know what gear you need to be in!

Semi trucks use manuals because automatics arent dependable enough to last pulling that much weight. The biggest thing I have ever driven was a Caterpillar 928G wheel loader...and it uses a hydrostatic automatic trans, built by Cat. It works perfectly....but its top speed is about 25mph.

But they are using autos now. I was just complaining about how annoying they are to drive. The type of autos you are referring to are fine to drive.
