Ok guys so I was striping and cleaning up my 8.5 for primer and paint when I noticed the driverside backing plate was tweaked. Is it ok or does it need to be replaced? It's kind of upsetting to find. If it needs to be replaced can someone help me out with one?

It was a little worse so I tried to straighten it some

We have them new at Napa. Balkamp #6415008 or the split type ones with new wheel cylinder #6411478. A little pricey for the split ones though.

edit- Or you could use one from your 7.5.

A hammer and dolly are your friend, should be able to straighten it out without a problem.

i gotcha. i didnt know if it was going to affect anything. i have a guy that wants to come get my 7.5 girdle cover tomorrow and he said he has a spare driverside backing plate he can give me. so thats cool. im just glad to have the thing cleaned up. she will be black soon enough. anyone ever fool with the s10 wheel cylinders? anything special to know about removing them etc?
