So I picked up the dual exhaust setup from summit racing, its supposed to be designed to work with the long tube headers however I'm running shortys. Anyone running anything like this? I need to know how much more piping I need to make it from the duals to my collectors and what angle might work best for bringing the exhaust down and back from the headers.

Hate to say it but it might be easier to just get some long tube headers for it. I had this same problem with mine awhile back and just decided to get some long tubes not to mention the power gains over shorties. A new set is usually $90-$150 on Summit but thats just basic headers, no ceramic or wraps but im sure you could find a used set cheaper.

Alright, I might just have to get creative here then. The deal is I've got an LT1 in it and the shorties have been plumbed to have the air system in tact so I can comply with my local smog laws. I'd love to go with the long tubes its just not really in my budget at the moment.

Just have an exhaust shop make the extension that you need from the shorty header to where the dual kit starts
