Dual exhaust with stock crossmember

I need to mod my crossmember so I can install my newly acquired Purple Hornie glass packs.They have the header flange welded to them 🙂 Im hoping I can make them fit somehow.I don't want to molest them too much

the purple hornies will not clear with the insperation of a B.F.H. tried that already just make a new cross member if you have access to some mild steel tubing and a welder then you can get rid of that stupid offset transmission mount

Boo,thats not what I wanted to hear 🙁 I got reading on Jegs about the jegster crossmember but got into the details and for some reason,they say it won't fit the El Camino or Cutlass.If it's made for a G-body,why will it not fit.I just don't wanna spend 200+ bucks for a crossmember

I've got that Jegster crossmember for my Monte but not installed yet. Where u located? If local then stop by, see if it fits.

i got the jegs cross member and my super comps ran right into it there was no way i could fit exhaust. i got a used g force cross member and it fits perfect.

Im on the eastern shore of MD.Quite a drive but I appreciate the offer man.I was thinking about buying it and if it didn't fit,just re-sell it.What difference could there possibly be if the Elky and Malibu share the same design? The only difference I know of is the wheelbase on the Elky is 9 inches longer than the 'Bu

I got a SUPER heavy duty After market crossmember from "crossmembers.com" or "GFORCEPERFORMANCE.COM" The things are SWEET. Adding rigidity to the frame as well as giving twice the pipe clearence. Highly recomended.
You could always cut and weld a exhaust outlet on the drivers side.

i have the stock cross member in my 80 monte its just beat in a bit for a lil extra clearence my exhaust pipe comes down and crosses and runs along the passenger side then crosses back over and out
