not sure exactly about the kits but im running true duals str8 from the manifolds(sbo 350). I had a shop do it....
theres one shop i might use...but he is shady and im just not too sure about his work. I may rig up a temp system so I can drive it to a reputable shop and have them finish it. the crossover is not an issue, thats plugged up.Mathematic said:not sure exactly about the kits but im running true duals str8 from the manifolds(sbo 350). ok...show me...lol, cause Ive looked and all I see is dual cat back systems or header back for gbodys...part number, website would be great too! thanks!DoubleV said:Pypes X-pipe system with the downpipes. The downpipes are made to fit the older ( pre cat converter ) style passenger side manifold though. Yes, they'll fit in a G-body.

http://www.pypesexhaust.com/downpipes.html These look like they might work, but the website says they are for a chebby Gbody. The only ones I see for an olds are for a early model 442.Blue86Monte said:http://www.pypesexhaust.com/sys-mc.html
If you look at the bottom of the page they have down pipes for mani's. Check it out, I love the system I got from pypes. I acually bought the system from Jegs, saved a little bit of money, cheaper shipping.

No worries.... but, although all G-bodys are the same, engines and manifolds are not. Different manifolds can present mounting issues. For instance, the drivers side manifold on a SBO points straight down and when mounted on the engine, actually point back towards the front of the car slightly, since this pipe was a crossover. But, a real 442 had dual manifolds and the drivers side manifold pointed out at a slight angle. So the down tubes must be made to convert non dual exhaust manifolds into a dual exhaust system. Looking at the pipes for the 64-77 A-bodys, they wont work without the correct manifold. The chebby pipes are bent correctly so they might be the better choice. I contacted Pypes and they said that the SGG10S system would work on the Gbody w/an SBO. Down pipes, 130.00,... headerback system, 480.00... shipping 100.00..installation..?....So, once I refinance the house, I'll buy them.... :shock:DoubleV said:bill said:http://www.pypesexhaust.com/downpipes.html These look like they might work, but the website says they are for a chebby Gbody. All G-body's are the same. Don't worry about it. Their downpipes for Olds are listed for 64-77 A-bodys but fit on 78-88 G-bodys so....
