I noticed something else.....the 86 is been sold by a ford dealer...they finally got a good car on the lot....

That car has been for sale for a long time. Some one else posted a link to that car a while back. I found it kinda cool that the original owner lives less than a mile from my house.

Olds guys would know more but I have never seen seats like that in a G body. If you look at the picture of the seats from the back you can see the seats fit real snug up to the center console. I'm wondering if they weren't "borrowed" from a larger GM product.

I thought about that too.... But what would they have come from? If I could find a pair in blue in good shape it would keep me from having to recover them to match my back seat.

Thats pretty cool 8)

also the guy posting the ad is a tool... making the car sounds super rare..
and its not 100% original if you painted it and added all the other bullshit on..

i mean... my regal is 10000% original... as it has stock everything right down to the wires...

that car is far from original.

Just saw this on E-bay and thought I would share. I like the pillowtop bucket seats. (didn't know that was an option)

That's because it wasn't. That is a 60/40 split bench, with the center section removed. Look at this picture, and you can still see the center seatbelt. They added the console. The collar is probably to cover where the column shifter used to be.

Ask to see a picture of his RPO label under the trunk lid. D55 is the code for a center console, and his car will not have that listed on it, I guarantee it.

My buddies 1982 regal limited had those seats. They look nice when new but like crap when they get old as my buddies seat were.

for a car with under 50k on it why would it need the transmission need to be rebuilt and all the other new items.....and $15,500 invested?....sounds like a scam to me...

If it's the hydramatic 200 they were notorious for breaking within a few years of new. The previous owner of my cutlass had the 200 rebuilt at 30,000 miles.

But I agree, read the Q&A at the bottom of the e-bay page. There's something the seller has left out if he doesn't want someone to look before they buy. Also if you look at the picture showing the carpet with the brown smudge. The side foot panel which holds in the computer has blobs where the paint is scratching off   These were colored molds, not painted - I'm sure the car isn't top notch when seen in person.
