Hi All!

Wondering if anyone has tried these (likely Chinese knock-off) 1 3/4 primary tube headers ?

I'm particularly interested in fitment with the HVAC box left in place.

So many of the other larger tube headers on the market don't fit with the a/c box, or the Hookers have the tube outside the frame rail. OR others are super high $$$.

The eBay seller responded that they will fit with "stock" equipment, but that's all they can say...

Thanks!

Funny, I noticed these too. I dug through about 2000 feedback posts for Speed Daddy, and only twice did these headers come up - both with positive feedback - but none of it had to do with fitment. Might be worth the $160 risk.

I bought a set of their 1-5/8" headers (have not installed them yet) but the design is a copy of Hooker's 1-5/8" Gbody headers.
They look good and the price is right but I did had to buy some special copper header gaskets to match the D ports on my Edelbrock heads and still seal the large oval shaped port on the headers..
For the 1-3/4" headers it does look like the tube could interfere with the ac case but for the price you could try them and resell them if they don't work out.

I was considering them for a car with a non-AC heater box, not sure if that is better or worse. The reason I like idea of these are the completely pointless 3.5" collectors which I would want to marry to a Pypes 3.5" x-pipe kit and some pre-axle dumps. Noise for the sake of noise.

So after a bit of sleuthing I figured out that the eBay headers in question are a knock-off of the following header designs:

http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/street-stock.html
P/N 186

https://www.afcodynapro.com/DYNATECH/1100167145
P/N 701-22010

It just so happens that my brother has the Schoenfeld 186s on his car. You can see that it fits just fit around a non-AC heater box and fits fine on the DS as long as you delete (or significantly modify) the stock linkage from the column to the trans - find a new way to get your neutral safety switch. So for the same money you can have a cheaper stainless version that will last longer than originals.
