Been reading around, listening to the news, and reading other forums junk and I have to tell anyone and everyone that im about fed up with our country and im the patient type. First of all im 22 some of you know me on here a bit. Anyhow yes I worked for about 6 months last year on and off and made almost 4000, Hey im a fulltime student and working part time is about all I can do and thats hard enough even finding a job that will allow you to work part time. Well heres the great story, I have to claimed as dependant because im not 24 yet, no military vet, married to some stupid b*tch, aint no retard either, theres like 2 other options, So wheres the problem, According to our big man Bush I have to be claiming independant. Well I can't. and my parents also get nothing as well because I am not 17 or younger. Now tell me guys aint that one hell of a loop hole or what. The people on this planet who are just tryin to make something of themselves, the ones who need the money the most the students are the ones gettin ****ed over yet again gotta love it. Sorry to those haters who dont feel my pain but to those who do read this sh*t too

im not the only one gettin ****ed here, hell im republican old conservative by the way. I aint no democrat. 300 bucks would fill the car up 5 times, Im sure 50% of the people out there gettin these checks are blowin them either on booze or rollin out west with them. hahah what a joke **** you George Bush. 😀

oh on top of this whole mountain of sh*t I made 100 bucks too much so I cant get the 450 dollars roughly for a pell grant this year ahhaha. Not that I ever did in the past but sh*t thats me gettin robbed again

Yea, they sure made it complicated. Cut that group, cut this group. It was actually gonna be much worse until Congress got attacked by the electorate, and the Democratic majority helped the people.
So you're a Republican?, so you voted for Bush?, and you're not happy? Hmmm. Remember that in November. Put that anger to good use and pull the lever!

Around here they are electronic voting machines. I wish they were still levers!

Well, I am still waiting to be economically stimulated, but the money will not be going to drinking or partying. I don't like drinking, and am not much for wild parties. It will buy roofing materials for my house, and some of the stuff to finish my Cutlass. That being said, I am not a huge fan of the whole stimulus thing. It changes none of the underlying problems in the economy, and changes nothing about our need to drill for more domestic oil production. That is something that has been repeatedly voted down by the Democrats in the House and Senate. Do we need alternative energy resources? Of course we do. But it will take a long time to replace all of the old infrastructure and equipment that currently needs oil. If we collapse our economy we will not have the means to convert.

It also does nothing to bring back the manufacturing jobs that we have lost, and will continue to lose if any of the three candidates get their way with repressive new environmental legislation.

As for voting, I will hold my nose and vote for McCain just because voting for Obama is tantamount to voting for Hitler in my eyes. He's a racist (like most of the Democrats) that seems to believe in national socialism, sounds like a Nazi to me!

I'm most probably gonna vote for Mcain too, even tho he's quite old. I'm not impressed with who we really have to choose for a president, but what can we do about it. Nothing! As far as the stimulus checks we get. Well, to me, it's not worth the paper it's written on!!! I wish us all good luck......

sense ron paul isnt going to be an option.
Hillary for the win.
We dont need another republican who thinks they have an unlimited credit card to spend us more into the red.

dang

all i can say is that I am Ron Paul 100% Ive watched like all his youtube videos, its a shame so many people are soo stupid I think. Basically everything he stands for isolationism you name i Istand for, too bad my fellow americans dont feel that way oh well. As for my double post sorry bout that. 😀 Glad I am gettin some feedback though, on the good sides of news sh*t I got a job finally. lol

My questions to ponder. No political slant either.

Even if government did *allow* for more oil drilling domestically, how does it benefit oil companies? They need to spend money to build a new oil rig and increase supply, inevitably lowering cost of oil (assume that demand stays the same). Sounds like they lose out doubly.

All 3 presidential candidates have these plans of "what they will do" for our country. My one and only question to all 3, HOW will they get congress to go along with it? Congress does write the laws after all and the president simply accepts or rejects.

Funny how the odd year elections have less voter turnout, yet much greater turnout for a presidential election. The people in city hall, voted in the odd years, have more effect on our lives that President. Case and point, I now put out garbage on Wednesday night instead of Monday night. I can't cut down or trim a curbside tree w/o a no cost permit (yet I can do whatever with the tree in my backyard w/o permit whatsoever).

High gas prices. Haven't we seen this before? People ditch gas guzzlers for small cars. Once gas is perceived as "cheap" again, we will ditch the 4 bangers for our gas guzzlers.

The FCC isn't elected into office, yet they determine what is "indecent". But by who's standards? My brother-in-law's fiance from Hungary just laughed about the Janet Jackson "nipple gate" a few years back. She said we get too up tight about such silly things. I tend to agree there.

Drinking age is 21, Army draft registration at 18. What gives? Kids go off to college, trade school or what have you at 18 and graduate (hopefully) at 22, 23. Legal drinking age is when a kid is off to college and is around other, potentially, irresponsible drinkers. What was wrong with an 18 drinking age while kids were around (in most cases responsible) parental supervision?

Well, I am not an isolationist. I think we need to either dominate or be dominated. Until we develop alternatives to oil, we will need to be mired in the third world politics of these two bit dictatorships. Also, I really wish there was another choice in this race that had a chance to beat both the major parties. Someone who did not believe in government intervention into everyone's life, someone who would dismantle the EPA. After all, environmental law should be handled by the individual states and not the Federal Government.
