Ok so i broke down the edelbrock 750 my brother gave me to soak it today so i could rebuild it and found some issues. Note the carb was sitting on a 429 that was also sitting for a long time. so to the issue. one of the primary and one secondary booster didnt have the freeze plug or whatever it is in the back of it. The 1477 rebuild kit i bought doesnt have them in it to replace them with either. Also edelbrock doesnt seem to sell them. I just find it weird that its on both a primary and secondary booster. can anyone help? see pics below

That is weird that Edelbrock doesn't sell it :?

Mic that hole and I can give you a part number for a freeze plug if you'd like

ill throw some calipers on it in the morning. its really wierd and cant find anything from edelbrock on it. but the main thing, where did they go? when there installed in the mainbody theres nowhere for them to go to

Don't plug those, they are air bleeds, sort of like how milk flows out of the jug as air travels into the handle.

Just saying.

Don't drill them out either. Think of them as a vent, like on a gas can.

Email these pics to Edelbrock and ask them. You don't wanna go plugging stuff if it isn't supposed to be plugged. Not being able to find any parts like that is probably a clue that they aren't supposed to be plugged up.

Just wired how 1 primary and 1 secondary are plugged. You would think it would cause an unbalanced mixture

and i cant find an email addy for them anywhere. they want you to contact for tech through their forum and they havent posted in my thread about the concern thats been up for 4 days.

I hear ya. They don't make it easy to get a hold of them. I found their contact phone number and the email address for one of their techs. 800-416-8628 That number is for their tech department. This email was in their forum [email protected]

Got ahold of them on the telephone and they said i need to replace the welch plugs. So i ordered the proper size for them from my small engine parts supplier from work since the smallest one autoparts stores carry are 5/16 and i need 1/4". Lucklily my chainsaw carbs use the same size and am able to get them.
