Edelbrock carb

So all i have to do is unplug the computer and get a vacuum advance hei distributer. I dont use the ac any ways so i dont have to worry about that. What would be the next steps. Thanks ALOT Kevin

Yep. You will be good to go. Now you may need to adjust the weights depending on where you get your distributor to better match the advance curve of your 305.
 
What should i do with the wires going into the distributer just unplug them. And do i have to get a new coil. On summit.com the suggestest a coil with the distributer, do i have to get for it to work right, is it good just to upgrade the old one.
 
I would keep the stock vac advance HEI as is, and go with a softer set of step up springs in the Edelbrock to lean it out a bit on the part throttle/cruise circuit.
 
I misunderstood what u said i thought u meant to keep the stock distributer. Didnt mean to question ur idea. But waht should i do for the coil Do i have to get a new one or can i keep the old one. Thanks Again
