i been lookin at cams. i was planning on using either a edelbrock torker 2 or eps manifold. i been lookin at jegs brand cams and like this lift and duration 465/488 282/292 but i can get a new rpm cam kit for 130 with my shop discount at auto parts store. 488/510 308/318. just wanna know if anyone has is and how they like. it. does it hold good vac. or will i need a vac canisster to use my power brakes. any pvc issues when installing and what rate of springs did u use. i can get a good valve spring set rated at 510lift but i think that will be cutting it close for that rpm cam. or would i be able to get away with it. ive always used a higher rate spring that the lift on the cam.

I have run that cam in a few small block chevy engines and I loved it. I ran springs for a .600 lift and had no problems. Pulls really strong to 6000 rpm and I still used my power brakes.

I have the performer rpm ( 488/510 lift 234-244 duration) and it's a great cam...I also have the performer air gap intake....I run the dart pro 1 200 cc heads with a 550 spring..................make over 500 hp with this set up.....and I have power brakes, no need for a canister.....I say buy it bro 😀

i ended up ordering a elgin cam kit. .466 in .487ex with 298 in and 304ex duration. got the cam and lifters for 90 bucks. im gonna run some springs rated at 510 max lift
