Elcamino Frame Upgrades looking for input !!

It' time to work on the Elcamino. Any suggestion to making the frame stronger?? The following is what I know

1. Boxing the inside of the frame
2. Notching the rear frame??? 18x9.5 wheels 295/35/18 tires
3. TNT rear supports
4. Sand blasting frame and epoxy $ 300 - sub out

Please feel free to chime in!!

PS I would like to find a spare frame

A set of rear control arm braces are a great add on;

Also a front chassis brace;

I used a Pontiac GP one along with the OEM brace to achieve the same thing,although this one is supposed to be much stronger.
I also made a rear frame brace;

I used a rail from a bed frame the wife was throwing out,very easy mod.
Also,while not frame braces,heres a couple more that are a great addition;

This is a homemade rear seat X brace made from some aluminum flat bar.
Here is a GP rad core brace;

And there are also the GP upper rad support to fender braces;

Thanks to Mark Savitske from SC&C, who saved me a lot of time & money. Mark spent over an hour talking about modification for my Elcamino ( not buying useless parts) !!

Thanks Again Mark!!

So what did Mark tell you ???
Guy

He told me don't waste my time with the weld in supports for the rear control arms upper & lower. I'm no drag racing the car. He recommended the following modifications !!

1. Boxing the frame - planning on going that anyway
2. Poly bushings- I will reinstall mine My front mounts behind the wheels are over sized holes RUST??
3. SC&C front support bar- don't waste your time with the thin wall factory stuff.
3. Watts link in the rear, I was going to install that on my IMSA Monza that I sold. Great bolt on idea
4. rear frame support at the rear bumper mounts- I have a class 3 hitch might chop it down and tuck it under the rear light panel.
5. Don't notch the frame, a lot of work for little gain

I want to set my Elco up for a road race theme Low and fast !!

Thanks for sharing that !!
I had asked Mark about body bushings last year and he recommended graphite impregnated poly bushings.
I used these ones from PST;

Large washers and a mig welder will hgelp in patching those rust holes.

You cannot add anything to the polyurethane. PolyGraphite is only a name brand
