Can someone tell me what fuse is for the electric choke on the '86 Grand Prix? The only one I would think have been the issue would be the ignition fuse, but I checked it and it was fine. I replaced it anyway for good measure, but the choke light is still on. Keep in mind, the computer hasn't been used on the engine since the 350/Edelbrock swap and the choke was working until the damn wire came off and shorted on the valve cover (and yes I reconnected the wire).

there are two fuses at the top of the fuse box, it's the 20 amp on on the right. The left fuse is for the instrument lights and it's a 5 amp

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately I replaced both and the light is still on. Guess there is a problem with the choke.

the original set up had the choke wire going through an oil pressure switch located to the left of the distributor so it would not give the choke power without the engine running. Jump the two connections and see if that turns the light off. It could be that switch is dead

Thanks for the info. Turns out the connector for the switch wasn't plugged in all the way (guess it came loose). Choke is working now and the light is off. Makes you wonder what was going through the minds of some of the people at GM. Before I was born my mom had a '64 Impala and when the horn relay went out on it, the car wouldn't start.
