Ok.The weather was kind of nice the past few days so I went a head and started the f.p. install. I noticed my regulator has an inlet, an outlet and a return. What do I do for the return line on the regulator? As of now I have it plugged. Is a return line mandatory and what are its benefits?

if you don't have the return line hooked up or if the return line is too small a diameter you'll get erratic fuel pressure

Ok. Where do I hook my return line to and where is it located? I saw it when I dropped my tank but I cant find it in the engine compartment. On my car I have a char. canister.

What you are seeing when you drop your tank is the line that runs to the charcoal canister. It runs along the driver side frame rail. And ends(changes to rubber) right around the steering box. It's technically to small to use as a return line(should be the same diameter as the feed line so there is no chance of a restriction) but it would most likely work.
