Switches are indeed grounding when they should. I pulled 1 relay and probed my 12v keyed power at the socket and saw something strange... 5v. Apparently there is a big voltage drop when something is plugged into it, however with no load it shows alternator voltage. I honestly don't know what that power source was for, its from a plug that was just dangling on the drivers side of my engine bay.
Good news is after I found a different switched 12v source, the fans come on right when they should and appear to shut off at about 185 or so.

A buddy of mine is at a show and just texted a pic of a GN with the hood popped. I found the plug that had the keyed power I used initially. Looks like its going to a cruise control servo which isn't on my car.
I went though quite a few of the intake switches, a couple of different brands as well. I like the idea of two different senders at different turn on/off temps.
I must have lucked out, both switches appear to work. My only issue was my poor choice of 12v power!
Carry spares, mine usually died at the track or somewhere inconvenient.
I had bad luck with every thermal switch I put in so I have the adjustable Flex-a-Lite and that is working great
one other thing I would do is to turn the fans on when you turn the AC on if you have AC. As far as switches I didn't have good luck with the thermal switches so I put in an adjustable. I have both fans turn on the same time but you'd need two units to run the fans independent of each other.
