Just curious the 87 LS often came with the fuel injected 4.3 with an in-tank electric pump. I take it yours did not. I presume yours came with a carberated 305 ie no in-tank electric pump.

yea and the 305 was replaced wit a 350

Why not just get a mechanical pump? It is much easier to deal with, and good ones will keep up with anything short of a nasty turbo application. I have a Holley Blue on one of my cars and HATE it!!! I have a Carter mechanical that will be replacing it, and good riddance.

Make sure you have a inline filter between the tank and pump.
