I have an MSD 6al-2 programmable box that flashes twice when the key is in run. Two flashes indicates low battery but the battery is fully charged. I have upgraded the grounds and have run a 10 gauge ground directly to the battery for the box. I have the battery in the trunk and run a 2 gauge wire up to the ford style solenoid mounted on the wheel well. I have a jumper terminal that is connected to the solenoid with a 2 gauge wire. Also on that jumper terminal I have the 8 gauge wire from the alternator, the wire to feed the Blue Sea fuse box, the power wire for the Fast system and a 10 gauge power wire for the MSD box. The solenoid and jumper terminal are on the passenger side wheel well, the MSD box and coil is on the diver's side wheel well. The alternator's red wire from the two prong connector is goes to the B stud on the alternator.
When I power up the MSB box it flashes twice and I hear a click that sounds like it is coming from the ford solenoid and the MSD box shuts off. The MSD instructions are not to mount the power wire to the back of the alternator but I would not think having the alternator wire on the same terminal as the wire going to the MSD box should not have any effect on it. I am stumped on this so I hope someone has a idea on what I am doing wrong.....![Popcorn  ](https://cdn-0.gbodyforum.com/oldsmilies/popcorn.gif)
