How can I fix my Emergency Brake in my Cut. I push the e-brake and it feels like it doesnt want to go down. It just stops. Its been like this since I bought it. Its never really been a big issue but I know it will either be a benefit or disadvantage one day.

Find out what is making it stuck and unstick it. It's a pretty simple device, foot pedal to cable to rear brake levers. I just fixed mine the other day. It sounded similar to yours but maybe not. The little ratchet thing on the pedal was stuck from 30yr old grease and it never clicked and seemed like it the pedal was stuck. I sprayed some liquid wrench on it and the grease unstuck it and now my pedal works. See if that is your problem. Otherwise, you'll need to investigate some.

The cables have a tendancy to rust and stick over time.

If you do get it to go down, be prepared for the fact that it might not come back up when you try to release it...

spray it with weasel piss (WD 40 liquid wrench......) liberally. Make sure you get the back end where it goes into the drums (rear brakes) Then IF it does move, it may move back. Nothing worse than a brake stuck in the on position. Most likely its seized up. my unit seized in the back half of the car where all the rust forms from salt. If you don't ever use it they seize up. Ive seen less than 10 year old vehicles have their cables seize from not using them (in salty winter driving conditions)

the E brake is just like a brake cable for a bicycle. Just a cable inside a metal sleeve.

The cable runs through the firewall, down between the inner fenderwell & firewall, and under the car. Take a look, it's not hard to miss.

I think I got it. It goes down a little more but not enough to activate the actual brake. Is the cable supposed to be a little loose under the car?

No, it should be a little tight. I'd release the front cable from the rear cables and see if the front or rears aren't jammed up.The front gets rusty too. That nut/equalizer bracket they use is for the birds. If they aren't stuck you should be able to pull on them and hear the brakes apply and release. The cables get cut from the A-arms movement and rust starts. The pass side one that goes up over the rear end gets pretty rusty too. I just redid mine with new ones from RockAuto- not expensive and they work like new now. I added PVC tubing over the section that rubs against the control arms to protect them.
