Engine break in & long drive?

I'm going to go in the opposite direction on this and say it shouldn't matter at all. Once your ok with the way the engine is running a 3.73 w/ 26in tires is only turning 3000 rpm @ 60mph and that's where you break cams in at. My engines get very little run time and they are blasting down the 1/4 mi.
 
With the cam already broken in, I would fill it with Driven break in oil, seat the rings and drive it. They say their break in oil is good for 400 miles on the street.
