So i stripped my entire eng compartment/chassis down to metal and im ready for paint.
i picked up rust-oleum primer and flat black for chassis and semi-gloss for the fenders and fire-wall.

I want to do it right and am having second thaughts on the paint,
Should i pick up a high temp paint and or other type ofpaint?

thanks in advance!

Just a thought that I have... I like to use this stuff in a spray can that's designed for coating truck beds. It's a bed liner paint basically. You can buy a quart and spray it yourself with your own gun, or just the premixed spray cans. It's real durable, has a semi gloss and is a slightly textured finish. I always paint my chassis and engine area with it. I don't spray it on anything directly on the engine, just the chassis and wheel wells. Its easy to clean too.

I'd paint the chassis semi-gloss as well. I had flat black on mine a while back and didn't like it. Its harder to wipe off and stains a lot easier than the slicker surface of a semi-gloss or gloss.

I've used the Rustoleum products and they work really well. Shouldn't need to be high temp.

Forgot to respond to this, i ended up using gloss on the frame with clear coat
Came out great, definetly like it alot better than the flat would ahve come out,
Thanks for the advice
