A bout a month a go, I purchased a GMPP turkey 350 H.O ( http://gmperformancepartszone.com/advan ... 1&x=22&y=9 ) and paid a guy at this shop that I seen a few G-Bodies at. Any how, a week latter the guy calls me up and tells me my car is ready. I start the car but it seam to high at idle. I mentioned it to the guy, but he said it would idle down once it warms up and it did.

500 miles latter (last Sunday) I changed the oil. On Wednesday, when I started the car. It idle really hard and it shut off. I tried starting the car but it wouldn’t start like it wasn’t getting any gas. I checked the carb, and it was flooded out. I even notice that lever for the electric choke was dripping of gas. I also checked the spark plugs and they where Smokey black. Can anyone give me some advice?

What carb is on it? It sounds to me like the needle and seat are sticking and the carb is flooding.

That's your problem. 😱 Just kidding, I would do as mentioned and pull the air horn and check the float needle/seat. You should be able to adjust the fast idle so it doesn't wind up so high on cold startup which can sometimes cause flooding issues also. The choke may be taking too long to open also, it should be open within a minute or two on a cold start.

You know what's funny, i was just searching the web for faq's about the engine, and found a post on Thirdgen.org http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/engin ... -swap.html and someone mentioned the same thing about the holly. Why the hell would GM put a carb like this if it has bad feed back.. :x
