well got a problem, let me start from the begainning.
78 oldsmobile 260... rebuilt about 25k ago
i know people are going to say get another engine so for those people, i have a 403 that will be finished around feb.... i didnt rebuild the 260, the guy i bought the car from rebuild it. just trying to make her last til i get the 403 finished.

sunday i changed plugs and wires and getting better mpg and everything run smooth.
monday still getting great mpg and still running smooth.
tuesday still getting great mpg and running smooth.
wensday same as the other 3 days.
this morning started her up and she wanted to keep stalling, warmed her up to 180 where she always stays and then off i went and wanted to bog and stall on take off, i drive my ol lady to work and everytime i touch the brakes she wants to stall and tries to cut right off at every stop, im burning twice as much fuel as i was before the plug and wire change. she doesnt sound much different than she did yesterday just a i think i can i think i can sound

im pretty sure i know what it is but just wanting to hear what others think just in case im wrong

i think its a vac leak check vac hoses

Float stuck in the carb causing it to flood over.

check the carb and it's dumping fuel it may be something is keeping the needle from seating

also forgot to add that the carb was new but it was in the box on the shelf since 96 just put it on in april.
it use to want to stall with me til i took the top choke butterfly off of the carb then it was fine.
all 4 vac lines are new and holding strong.

guess that problem lol

i love the guessing games 😀

 sorry to say but the anaconda is now in ohio and not with me. miss her though, she was a great conda

i have thought about going through the carb but been putting it off cause of the soon to be engine change. i got gas yesterday evening(was on e) and drove home(less than 1 mile) so i think i got bad gas, maybe picked up some trash. going to try to run some alcy in it this evening to see if i can get her cleaned out. if not no worries, going to be picking up a 78 custom cruiser with 403 within the next month so :puke: on that 260

off topic but I'm just wondering if conda gives you a hug when it sees you next does it remember to let go?
