I was thinking should I get my engine rebuilded or should i get a remanufactured engines? Because, I found some pretty nice engines for around $1500 but not to sure on how much it would be to get my engine rebuilded so anyone have a estimate or idea of this? I am in the Georgia area not looking to seen my engine away to another state because i might not get it back  Thank you.

I almost forgot it's a SBC 350 not sure of the year.

From what ive gathered quotes on rebuilds are a joke at most shops, they charge stupid amounts for labour and few actually care about workmanship. Get a book and a friend who has some experience and build it yourself, Im just starting my 1st build also a 350 sbc and am suprised at its simplicity. A remanufactured motor is a good idea too, just be sure to get reccomendations and read up on previous customers feedback/experiences.
