i think i found it not to sure but if it's flat smooth surface with numbers an letter now couldnt see to good but this is what i have 36P381658 i have no idea what it means? and does anyone else start like that?

3 = Oldsmobile
6 = This could actually be either a "6" or a "G". If it's a 6 it would mean 1976 model year. If it's a G it would indicate 1986.
P = assembly plant (Pontiac, MI in this case)
381658 = last six digits of VIN from car the block was originally installed in.
