Back from Seattle. The siding guys are done. The roofing guys still need to come back for a couple more things. The well is fixed and water is hooked up to the new house. Insulation guys did all the exterior walls and started the ceiling. Painters started today and got 90% of the primary color layer out.

Now it only needs everything. And, no big surprise, more tire tracks on the hill. I give up.

Spent my day burning brush with my dad. Lower field looks tons better.

Pound a bunch of 20d nails through some 16-foot 2x4s and bury them across the slope. That'll fix 'em. I dare them to complain about two flats. If you feel guilty, put up a sign that says 'no vehicles'.

Glad you found this spread and staked your claim before California annexed it. Problem is...I want to be your neighbor before they get there, too.

Ome on up. There's still room but prices are going up quick. Boise is the fastest growing area in the US right now. Even my little town has some new construction going on.

Fine by me. This sleepy little town could use some new businesses like that. Main street has a few empty buildings right now.

I am happy for you. I built my house on 40 acres in SW Georgia in 1994. I am on a dead end road surrounded by pretty big properties with one on them a 3000 acre plantation. With the exception of the dirt road it is all good. We have to follow our dreams. When I was 12 my Dad moved 6 of us from a big house to a 46 foot boat in Clearwater Fl. That was his dream although not necessarily my mothers.
