House looks great. Looks like your going through a lot of the same stuff my parents did when they built our house about 12 years ago.

Thanks, man. Spring time is pretty nice here. They'll start running water through the irrigation canals in a couple weeks and the farmers will start to water crops. Should be mostly green here for a few months.
The house won't have much in the way of landscaping, just a small back yard. Planning to do quite a bit of the rest in native grass and plants including sage brush. Soil here is impressive. Throw a little water on it and anything grows.

Sure looks nice. A small yard is all you need with all that land around you. If you throw a little water on anything here landslides pop up and everything floods, lol.

Septic system was installed Monday and Tuesday.

I was out of town for 3 days to go to the swap meet but not much changed while I was gone. The septic passed inspection so it can be buried now. The garage doors and openers got installed as well.

My 2018 swap meet adventure:
I drove down to Pendleton and picked up my buddy Jerod and his son then on to Portland on Thursday night. The next morning we hit the PIR swap meet (rechnically a separate event that shares parking and shuttle buses) and walked 7-8 miles around the track and infield. On Saturday morning we went to the Expo Center and were there a couple minutes before the gates opened at 7. I was pleasantly surprised by the weather as we stayed dry all day in spite of the predicted downpour. We hit all the outside areas and all the buildings and were back at the car before noon. I picked up a nice little vintage "made in Japan" tool set still in original packaging for $5. The guy had a few and I should have bought more. Also got a little Dunlap vise for $10. It should clean up nicely. I've been looking for a little guy like this for a while. My big ticket find was the dual snorkel Corvette air cleaner for $40 (5 of that was paid to my buddy's son to carry it for me all day). No real use for it. Maybe my Cutlass some day. Maybe just eternity hanging on the garage wall.

One on my wall as well along with a camaro and corvair one

It's stupid logic really. You kind of feel obligated to buy something to make the trip worth while. By the time I spent 8 hours to get there, fuel, $10 to park, $7 to get in (each day) 2 nights in a hotel, walked probably 15 miles, and drove 8 hours home, I'm not sure my deals were all that good. Only thing I was actually looking for was som '73 "OLDSMOBILE" valve covers but never saw any.
I was really tempted to buy this really cool old ('40s?) generator and also ran across the only other ProHauler I've ever seen in person. If I'd had a way to haul them home I would have.
Either way, it was a fun outing. Jerod and I have made it an annual event for over 20 years. No plans to call it off any time soon.
